Jackie Chan 成龙, Hongkong's martial arts superstar was caught having a passionate kiss with Chinese actress Jane Xu Jinglei (徐静蕾) in a car before the Chinese New Year holidays.


Both of them had stepped out of a five-star hotel in Beijing. Xu Jinglei apparently had some drinks and couldn’t stop laughing at Jackie’s words.

The Chingay Parade will be held over two days (11-12 February) at the Pit Building, next to the Singapore Flyer.

It promises to be a grand international affair with performers from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, and even Germany and Denmark.

Besides the showcase of cultures and talents from different ethnic groups, there will be also a street dance party, ‘City Alive, Singapore’s Biggest Street Dance Party’ on 12 February.

Road closures are at Republic Boulevard in the direction of Raffles Ave between Republic Ave and Raffles Boulevard and Temasek Ave from 6pm to 12 midnight.

I love the atmosphere at this annual traditional parade but will not pay to watch as the tickets are not cheap. Depending on the category, you pay between $25 to $55.

For non-paying public, you can still catch a glimpse of the Chingay parade performers who will just walk past or wave at you.

Flora Cheung Ching-sze will strip and cook for a Hongkong adult pay TV channel this month, with her modesty barely protected by a transparent apron.

The 26-year-old Chinese model will start each 30-minute show shopping for fresh ingredients in the city's famous wet markets, undressing once she is back in the studio kitchen.

Producer Jessie Au who brought naked news reading to Hong Kong television screens in 2004, came up with the nude cooking idea.


Based on the positive response of naked news, Flora Cheung should have no problem getting male audience interested in cooking or helping out in the kitchen. In fact, she may just outdo the professional chefs.

Evangeline Tay Su Ann was fined $2,000 for bribing someone to take the fall for her driving offense which was committed without a valid driving license and consent of her housemate, a Bulgarian business manager.


She avoided a jail sentence due to depression at that time of offense and the judge felt there is low risk of re-offending as she has a clean record since 2008.



The property agent and the police officer who helped her were sent to jail though which caused much debate among netizens.
