Chinese Pop Star Wang Bei Dies During Plastic Surgery

A former contestant of “Super Girl” Wang Bei, 24 passed away during a “facial bone-grinding surgery” in Zhong Ao Cosmetic Surgery Hospital in Wuhan, Hubei.
According to reports, the aspiring pop singer Wang Bei was having a surgery when her jaw suddenly started to bleed, blocking her windpipe which caused her to suffocate.
Wang‘s mother was reported having the same surgery at the clinic during the accident.
The Ministry of Health also tasked the Hubei health department to investigate the incident and to announce results to the public without delay.
Isn't it sad that Wang Bei, already a pretty woman by most standards, yet she went for cosmetic surgery to enhance her looks and ended up losing her life?
As China becomes more prosperous, its people are increasingly beauty obsessed. This has led to many unqualified plastic surgery centers sprouting up to meet demand.
Looking fabulous can improve one's career and marriage prospects... but will you risk your life to exchange for a pretty/handsome face?

Cheeky Swimming Trunks For Water Polo Team

The Singapore water polo team at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games is embroiled in a swimwear controversy, of its own making.
Previously, the water polo team wear plain black trunks but they changed to new swimming trunks (designed by the players) which feature the Singapore flag's crescent moon and stars near the groin area.
Upset netizens had described the swimwear as 'disgusting', 'nauseating', 'disgraceful' and 'disrespectful.' I agree that it is too cheeky and distasteful.
The Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts (MICA) also said that the swimming trunks were inappropriate. But they weren't informed which is disappointing since this "inappropriate" swimwear is being broadcast to the world.
The Singapore Flag may have been displayed prominently but the Asian Games is not an entertainment or manhunt pageant where the contestants strive to be funny, creative or seductive.
Our athletes will be taken more seriously if they show pride in representing the nation and focus on winning medals. Instead of grabbing attention to their groins with such suggestive swimwear...

Britian's Youngest Couple: 10 Year Old Mother and 13 Year Old Cousin

Elena Chiritescu, a ten-year-old gipsy girl, made news recently by being the world’s youngest mother when she gave birth naturally to baby Nicoleta.
The Daily Mail has revealed details of how after Elena became pregnant aged nine, their mothers allowed them to live as ‘husband and wife.’
An exclusive picture (above) was also shown when Elena was three months pregnant. At her side is her 13-year-old cousin Gheorghe Mecic, the baby’s father.
This is rather shocking... At age 9, how or what do kids know about sex? Elena's cousin fathering the child is incest but the grandmother feels it is normal.
I actually thought Elena looks older than 10 years old, more like 15 or 16, looking at the pic.
In Singapore, it is a good thing having sex with minors is not allowed, because teen pregnancies only burden the mother. At age 10, the mother couldn't possibly provide or fend for herself, much less her kid.
Thanks to the TV and internet, kids are getting more precocious about sex, so if parents don't impart the right values and morals, teen pregnancies will become their problems too.

The Chinese millionaire has a net worth of TWD $800 million ($34 million), and was once romantically-linked to Chinese actress Kitty Zhang 張雨綺.

Responding to comments on his micro blogging account by some users that claimed Hsu had caused his split from Zhang, Wang said it was pure speculation.
In addition, he also denied rumours that his relationship with Hsu was just to create buzz for his family's restaurant chain, which will soon enter the Taiwan market.
Xiaofei's mother in turn, praised Barbie as being down-to-earth. However, she advised not rushing to hold the wedding in February as she believed more time is needed to plan a proper one.
