Gong Li, one of the most beautiful actress in Asia, has divorced Singaporean businessman Ooi Hoe Seong.

gong li
The celebrity told Zaobao that she stays in a hotel whenever she visits Singapore. Her manager Christopher Tseng was quoted in a magazine that Gong Li and her husband have separated 'years ago' and 'divorced only recently'.

Ooi Hoe Seong was also quoted by various Chinese websites as saying that 'whatever the rumour, that is it.'

It was almost a fairy tale back in 1996 when the media reported that Gong Li (a highly acclaimed Chinese actress) had married Singaporean Ooi Hoe Soeng. Hence, I feel it is a pity this 14 year marriage has dissolved.

Gong Li has been a Singapore citizen since 2008 but I doubt she feels much attachment here by staying in hotels.

Gong Li
While her marriage is a failure, career wise, Gong Li is going places. She is one of the few Chinese stars to have successfully penetrated Hollywood in English-speaking roles.

gong li john cusack
The 44-year-old actress starred previously in "Memoirs of a Geisha" and "Miami Vice" and has been praised by co-star John Cusack for her intricate acting skills in "Shanghai."

Speaking of John Cusack, there are rumors that he and Gong Li are an item. Well, they are definitely close friends to be feeding each other and spotted outside a hotel at midnight.

By the way, check out the trailer of Shanghai below.

Frankly speaking, i dun really like her as she has garnered so many negative news report over the years. Another same specie is Zhang Ziyi who thinks so highly of herself that she once commented that she dun like to marry Chinese men. WTF.

Does she really need a SG husband to be Singaporean. Has anyone seriously though how these influx of overseas people and their monies keep the economy relevant, vibrant, keep the local banks running and help the property and retail markets ? Lets not be sour grapes that we dont have sexy **** like hers or the fame of hers, be thankful these help to offset the natural falling birthrate. In the meantime go Yunan to enhance your **** bodies and be better than her using her as our role model
