Singapore Budget For 2010

Singapore's Budget for 2010 is out, freshly delivered by Minister for Finance, Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam in Parliament at 3.30 pm. A lot of Singaporeans must be wondering if got angpows from the government or not?

Well, there are some tax reliefs and top-ups....

1. Increase in parent and grandparents relief.

2. Expansion of wife relief to spouse relief.

3. Enhancing dependant family members reliefs.

4. Increased course fee relief.

5. Support for charitable giving.

6. Top-up to CPF Medisave Accounts.

7. Top-ups to Medicare and ElderCare Fund.

8. Top-up to Post-Secondary Education Accounts.

9. First time home buyers grant increase to $50,000 from $40,000.

10. One-time 20 percent rebate on personal income tax for Year of Assessment 2009.
