Nadia Fazlini and Republic Poly Girl Scandals: More Singaporeans Camwhoring?

Nadia Fazlini sex video scandal
Nadia Fazlini has become a hot topic in Singapore after the story of a graphic sex video was plastered on The New Paper.

Nadia was the winner of Suria’s talent search competition, Anugerah 1999, and was nominated for ‘Best Supporting Actress’ category in Suria’s Pesta Perdana 5. Her recent Mediacorp performance was in ‘Anak Metropolitan’ which received good ratings.

The four-minute sex video, which appeared on a US-based social media, showed the woman in explicit sexual acts.

This followed a recent Singapore Republic Poly girl's topless photos in a public park (can't bear to post the pics here because too daring liao).

There seems to be a growing trend among young Singaporeans who take compromising pictures of themselves or let others do so, otherwise known as camwhoring.

This is very dangerous as they could be blackmailed or placed in embarassing situations when the photos are leaked, as in the case of Edison Chen's laptop incident last year. Legally, it is also an offense to make or reproduce obscene videos.

I cannot understand the mentality of people who indulge in “camwhoring” and post the content online. If you want to preserve your naked photos as a memory, fine, but why share it with the world??
