Ten Highest Earning Celebs In Taiwan
Singer Jay Chou has once again emerged as the top earning Taiwan celeb, pulling in about 554 million Taiwan dollars in 2009.
Chou took home a total of HK$27.5 million for his roles in the films "The Treasure Hunter" and "The Green Hornet". Other revenue sources included six corporate appearances, seven concerts, nine commercials and album royalties.
Popular girl group S.H.E takes second place with an estimated income of 360 million Taiwan dollars.
Pop princess Jolin Tsai (Jay's rumored girlfriend) , comes in third, with about 350 million Taiwan dollars.
Other top earners include singers Wang Li Hom, Wilbur Pan, Show Luo and rock band Mayday.
Singer Elva Hsiao squeezed into tenth spot and deserves the tag of "Comeback Queen" as she returned to music scene only in September.
She managed to rake in more than HK$25 million (S$4.4 million) within three months of her return.
