The result... 4-1 in favor of Vietnam. Poor Singapore, humiliated badly. My husband says Singapore cannot defend, attack or pass properly. This is the sad story and future of Singapore soccer...
On the bright side, the Young Lions qualified for the semi-finals which is the target set before leaving for Laos.
What do you guys think is lacking for our Young Lions? The coaching, infrastructure, talent spotting, S-League??

The young lion players are too young to face to the experienced Vietnamese players. Nothing was wrong if you lost someone who was better and stronger than you. Don't claim the fault for the young lion players, they need more time. There is still a last important game with the host Laos.
You are right, perhaps patience is needed.
If the young Lions can stay together for the next few years, they may just surprise us with a gold medal.
