Where is Fiona Xie?
Word on the street is that MediaCorp actress Fiona Xie had tendered her resignation when she shockingly dropped out of Together at the eleventh hour before filming for the blockbuster drama officially began in July.
Her hasty departure sparked off rabid criticisms in the local entertainment industry. Since her mysterious exit from Singapore in July, Fiona remains out of sight and uncontactable.

Why is Fiona Xie keeping such a low profile? Has she relocated to Hongkong? Has she quit Mediacorp? Or Mediacorp has placed Fiona Xie in cold storage since her shock walk-out angered and embarrassed several senior executives.
These are the questions which a lot of people are curious to know but Fiona Xie has been shying away from the press. It will be a waste if she is no longer in the entertainment scene.
I always felt, of all the young artistes in Mediacorp, Fiona Xie is the one with the star quality. Her acting skills are so-so (not as good as Jeanette Aw) but she has the mass appeal, especially among teenage boys. And she is the darling of advertisers.
However, an artiste only has value when they stay in the limelight and people remember them.
Mediacorp may be a lousy TV station but at least it gives Fiona Xie opportunities to perform (leading role or not). Compared to Hongkong or Taiwan entertainment scene, it is very hard to break through and Fiona may just end up wasting her time.
Best to come back to Singapore lah.
